2. Kurz gesagt

16. Daten löschen
So löschst du deine Daten aus Blood at Sundown (Entwickler: Raphael Schön):
Privacy Policy
1. Controller

Email: support@bloodatsundown.com
2. In short
The game has no ads and no in-app purchases. Your progress is kept on your device and, if you are signed in to Google Play Games, backed up in your Google account. Online duels and friends use a server of my own. The game also sends anonymous play statistics so I can see where it is too hard or unclear. I don't sell data or pass it on to advertisers.
3. Data on your device
The game stores on your device: progress, records, achievements, your duel history (for "Your stats"), loot and collection, your look, the name you enter yourself, and your settings (volume, vibration, language, reminder). This data stays on the device except as described in the following sections. Uninstalling deletes it, and so does "Reset progress" in the settings.
4. Google Play Games
The game uses Google Play Games for the online rankings and achievements. Signing in is optional; the game also works without it, but then without rankings, duels and cloud backup. Google processes your player profile, scores and achievements under its own privacy policy. With your ranking entries the game stores your look and a few game stats so other players can view your profile. In the Play Console I see the ranking entries with the player names.
5. Cloud save
If you are signed in to Google Play Games, the game saves your progress (records, achievements, look, loot, duel history) as a "Saved game" in your Google account, so you get it back on a new phone. Google handles this; I have no access to it. "Reset progress" in the settings resets this backup too.
6. Online duels and friends
For duels, friends and the friends' ranking I run a server on Google Firebase (Google Cloud, Frankfurt data centre). You sign in through Google Play Games. Stored are: your Google Play Games player ID and Play Games name, your in-game name, your in-game look, your friend code, your friends list, your duels (reaction times, hit zones, results) and your best bounties. Friends see your in-game name, other players your Play Games name.
If you come to the game through an invite link, on the first start the game reads the invite code once from the clipboard or from the Play Store referrer to add your friend. Nothing else from the clipboard is stored or sent.
The legal basis is the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): duels don't work without this data. Duels are optional. The data is kept until you delete it: "Reset progress" in the settings also deletes your account on the server, including friends and duels. An email to me works too.
7. Anonymous play statistics
The game sends some game events to my server on Google Firebase (Frankfurt data centre) so I can see where players get stuck. For example: a run starting or ending (mode, how far, against which outlaw, cause of death, reaction time, bounty), which target-practice pages are seen, whether the intro video is skipped, which screens are opened, app starts, game version and language.
For this the game creates a random device ID on the first start. It is not linked to your name, your Google account, your player ID or your friend code. I don't store IP addresses. The data is deleted automatically after 180 days and only evaluated in summary.
The legal basis is my legitimate interest in improving the game (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Since I cannot link the data to a person, I also cannot hand it out or delete it individually. If you uninstall the game, a new ID is created on the next install.
8. Version check and time
On start the game requests a small page on my website. It contains the minimum version that may still submit to the rankings; from the answer the game also reads the current time for the Daily Hunt. As with any website visit, your IP address is transmitted and briefly kept by my web host in its server logs. The game sends no scores, names or identifiers with it. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in fair rankings (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
9. Sharing and reminder
When you share a result, the game opens your phone's share menu. You decide what you share and with whom; the data goes to the app you pick. The Daily Hunt reminder is scheduled on your device only; nothing is sent to me for it.
10. Google Play
Through Google Play, Google may collect crash reports and install statistics and show them to me in summary. Google's privacy policy applies.
11. Permissions
The game only needs internet (for the rankings, duels, the version check, the time of the Daily Hunt and the play statistics), vibration and, from Android 13, optionally notifications for the reminder. No location, camera, microphone or contacts.
12. Children
The game contains violence and is not aimed at children.
13. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Just email me. For data held by Google Play Games, contact Google directly. You can also complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
14. This website
bloodatsundown.com is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages). When you visit it, Cloudflare technically processes your IP address to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. The site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads nothing from other providers. Your language choice is only remembered by your browser. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Emails to support@bloodatsundown.com are forwarded by Cloudflare to my inbox. I only use them to answer you.
15. Changes
If the way data is handled changes, I will update this policy. The version with the date at the top applies.
16. Delete your data
How to delete your data from Blood at Sundown (developer: Raphael Schön):
In the game: OPTIONS (settings) → Progress → RESET, then confirm twice. This immediately deletes your progress on the device, your cloud backup and your account on the duel server, including your friends list, friend code, duels and bounties.
Without the game: Email support@bloodatsundown.com with the subject "Blood at Sundown – delete my data" and your Play Games name or friend code (in the game under DUELS → FRIENDS). I will delete your account on the server within 30 days and confirm it to you.
What stays: The anonymous play statistics are not linked to any person and are deleted automatically after 180 days. Ranking entries and achievements are held by Google Play Games; you delete those in the Play Games app or your Google account.
